Description

photo of "The Esplanade and God."
shot in Singapore on a tight cropped fisheye lens.

which inspired this:

"Good Bye."

Should all lovers seek their peace,
let the love for each other offer solace in times of trouble.
Cushion the fall and offer refuge,
and all will be well when the storm has past.

Take my offer of a helping hand,
and should you sail again,
never forget those
who set you on the right tack.

I can't be here anymore than I can be,
and my explanation seems rhetorically harsh.
But let not the waves drown the silent truth,
that we are better off so, than seeing each other pass.

My heart sank in a storm once,
and should it happen again, I shall say God meant it so,
and it is our divine path to take,
let love sail its intended course.

The calling speaks loud when you hear the signs,
I take heed and shall take my leave now.
Should my horizon see a beacon one day,
let it guide ship, life and soul towards its light.

Like mine, as yours shall be, guide thyself safe,
offer service, speech and knowledge of what lies ahead.
And your journey shall be smoother,
if u avoid troubled waters.

As past has come to greet us,
let not your wonder that I was even ever,
I have always, will forever and be constant in mind,
and I thank you for what you said, and I shall remember.

Mundaring Weir was the place it gathered,
where sun shone it's summer'd fever.
Through clouds blue and soft as ever,
and a kiss marked it clever.

I smile at memories past like it was yesterday,
makes me happier but sorrow'd emptier.
But today is right now, tomorrow is just a dawn away.
My ship is just right, its sails primed to follow.

Alas, my love, the time has come for me to bid,
farewell my sweetheart, my anchor lifts...
